About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Still Standing Studios, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Becoming Like Christ Daily mobile application ("the App"). We have designed this policy to be clear and honest about what we do and do not do with your information.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Who Can Use the App

The App is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at privacy@stillstandingstudios.com and we will delete it.

In the European Union and the United Kingdom, the minimum age for consenting to data processing varies by country (typically 13 to 16). If you are in a jurisdiction with a higher minimum age and you are below that age, please do not use the App without parental consent.

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information needed for the App to function. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below who help us run the App.

Information collected automatically when you use the App

• Anonymous user identifier — When you first open the App, Firebase Authentication assigns your device an anonymous user ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information unless you choose to sign in. It exists so the App can save your reading progress.
• Reading plan and progress data — Your selected Bible translation, reading path, reading tier, daily progress, and which books of the Bible you have completed.
• Notification token — If you enable daily reminders, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging token that allows us to deliver your reminder notification. The token is associated with your device, not with you personally.
• App preferences — Your selected reminder time, chosen translation, and similar settings.
• Age confirmation — A record that you confirmed you are 13 or older when you first opened the App.

Information collected only if you choose to sign in

The App works fully without an account. If you choose to create an optional account so your progress can sync across devices, you can sign in using either:

• Sign in with Apple — Apple shares with us a unique identifier and, depending on your Apple settings, your name and email address.
• Sign in with Google — Google shares with us a unique identifier, your name, and your email address.

We use your email address only to identify your account when you sign in on another device. We do not send marketing email. We do not share your email with anyone.

Information we do NOT collect

• Your location (precise or approximate)
• Your contacts
• Your photos or media
• Your device's advertising identifier
• Your IP address (beyond what Firebase uses transiently to deliver the service)
• Any analytics, behavioral, or tracking data
• Any payment or financial information

The App contains no advertising, no analytics services such as Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party SDKs beyond the Firebase services described below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

• Operate the App and provide the reading plan, devotional, and progress-tracking features you've requested.
• Deliver the daily reminder notification at the time you choose, if you've enabled reminders.
• Sync your progress across devices, if you've chosen to sign in.
• Respond to your support inquiries if you contact us.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose other than running the App for you.

Service Providers We Use

Google (Firebase)

We use the following Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication — to manage anonymous and signed-in user identities
• Cloud Firestore — to store your reading progress and preferences
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver your daily reminder notifications

Firebase data is stored on Google Cloud servers located in the United States. Google's privacy practices for Firebase are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Apple (only if you sign in with Apple)

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with a unique identifier and the name and email address you choose to share. Apple's privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Google (only if you sign in with Google)

If you use Sign in with Google, Google provides us with a unique identifier, your name, and your email address. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.

API.Bible (server-side only)

The App displays Bible passages in your chosen translation. To do this, our servers request passages from API.Bible. These requests are made by our servers, not by your device, and do not include your identity or any information about you. API.Bible does not know who is reading. API.Bible's privacy practices are described at scripture.api.bible/privacy.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) servers in the United States. If you are using the App from outside the United States, including from the European Union or United Kingdom, your data is transferred to and stored in the United States. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, providing legally recognized safeguards for international data transfers.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• If you are using the App anonymously, your data remains on our servers as long as the App is installed on your device.
• If you have signed in, your data remains as long as your account exists.
• When you delete your account through the App's "Delete my account and all data" option, all data associated with your account is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

Your Rights

Everyone

• Delete your data — You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete my account and all data" option in the App's settings. This action cannot be undone.

European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR / FADP)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to how we process your information; receive a copy of your information in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

The legal basis we rely on to process your information is the performance of the service you have requested. Where you have signed in with Apple or Google, the legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by deleting your account.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, delete or correct it, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.

How to Exercise Your Rights

For account deletion, use the "Delete my account and all data" option in the App's settings. For any other request, email us at privacy@stillstandingstudios.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR; 45 days under CCPA).

Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and the security measures provided by Google Firebase. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable means. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

Do Not Track

Because we do not track users across services or websites in the first place, "Do Not Track" signals do not change anything about how the App handles your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy, notify you within the App on next launch when reasonably possible, and for significant changes, request your renewed acknowledgment. For users in the European Union: Still Standing Studios, LLC is established in the United States. We do not currently have an EU representative because our processing of EU residents' personal data is occasional, low-risk, and incidental to providing a free devotional application. If our circumstances change, we will appoint a representative as required by Article 27 of the GDPR and update this policy accordingly.
